Rev. Justin HowardRector   email:

Justin and Amy have six amazingly creative and energetic boys: Josiah, Simeon, Judah, Elijah, Aidan and Noel who fill their lives with wild joy. Justin was born in Queens and raised in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York. Having earned his BA in Religion and Ministry at Houghton College, Justin went on to study at Asbury and Gordon-Conwell Theological seminaries and finished his seminary education at Trinity School for Ministry.  Longing for a place where the Scriptural, Sacramental, and Spirit-filled facets of his faith experience could converge and find full expression, Justin found his home in the Anglican way as an ordained Priest. Justin enjoys his wood-stove, chasing his boys, reading and tea with his wife, theological conversations, and watching the Holy Spirit transform lives.

Rev. Amy Howard, Deacon   email:

Amy grew up in Bangor and received her Bachelor of Music in vocal performance at the Greatbatch School of Music, at Houghton College. Having met both the third member of the Trinity as well as the president of the theological society (Justin) during her Sophomore year at Houghton, she traded in Brahms for the prayer room, and quiet Sunday afternoons for family life with six kiddos.  Amy oversees Encounter God Weekends and healing prayer at Imago Dei.  She has trained over a hundred prayer ministers in New England from various Christian traditions.  She is a licensed Spiritual Director for the Anglican Diocese in New England and was trained by Christian Healing Ministries in whole-person healing.  Amy’s goal is fulfilling the first and greatest commandment during her lifetime.

Scott DeLongPastor of Ministry Systems for Imago Dei & Encounter God Weekends email:

Scott lives with his wife Kelsey, son Espen, and excitable labrador, Ginny in Old Town. He received a BS in Science Education from the University of Maine in 2013, but after experiencing transformation and healing through prayer ministry and discipleship, Scott found a family and vocation in the vibrant community of Imago Dei with its Spirit-filled Anglican identity. He admittedly has too many books, is in moderate denial about his selfie-taking problem, and neither he nor his stored-away canoe are happy with the state of their current relationship. Stop into his office and he'll make you a fresh cup of tea or extra-strong cup of coffee.

Nicole FinleyTeam Leader for Children's Formation & ImagoKids Team Development email:

Nicole grew up in the Bangor area and has been involved with Imago Dei for the past 6+ years. Not long after graduating from Eastern Maine Community College in 2009 with an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts, she attended her first Encounter God weekend and was completely transformed by God’s overwhelming love and was given a new outlook on life. This January, Nicole will finish her final course in EMCC’s Early Childhood Education program. Since she started that journey in 2013, she has been involved with the children’s ministry at Imago Dei and still desires to see each child encounter the Good Shepherd. Nicole also serves on the Parish Council as a Member-at-Large. Any spare time that Nicole may find, she is usually napping, baking yummy treats, or spending time with her family and friends.

Kathryn MillerWorship Leader email:

In 25+ years as a pianist, vocalist, and songwriter, Kathryn has discovered a deep connection with God and his people through music. She brings to Imago Dei five years of experience leading worship in various churches and contexts and writes new songs to express what God is doing in our community and to herald his Kingdom in our region. Her heart’s desire is to see walls fall and worship rise. When she is not working on Sunday music, she teaches piano and is involved in her kids' schools. Kathryn and her husband Dan live in Pittsfield with their four artsy, musical daughters where they lead a missional community around their paint-splattered kitchen table.

Rev. Piper Runnion-Bareford, Church Planter at Incarnation Anglican Church

Piper answered God’s call to serve at Imago Dei in 2014, where she spent the following four years as Assistant Pastor developing Imago’s current children’s ministry, discipling leaders that make disciples, and helping establish core systems as the church grew. In July of 2018, Piper answered another call to plant a new church - Incarnation Anglican - in Manchester, NH and Imago Dei commissioned her for this exciting new work! Piper earned a bachelor of music in harp performance from Curtis Institute of Music and a Master of Divinity with a focus in evangelism from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. Piper loves to worship and lives to see lives transformed by the healing love of Jesus through the work of the Holy Spirit.
